DIRECTV offers free preview of Choice Extra HD channels

If you’re a DIRECTV customer you should be able to enjoy a free week of the Choice Extra package. The package includes 210 digital channels with 50 of those available in HD such as A&E HD, ABC Family HD, AMC HD, Animal Planet HD, BBC America HD, and n3D. DIRECTV had the info posted on their website (although the link to the news page is currently broken) indicating the free channel previews will last from today, Oct. 2 through Monday, Oct. 8.
