Have you been able to hold off on buying any of Christopher Nolan’s Batman films? Nice willpower, my friend! Either way, some sweet boxed set action is coming our way soon. Warner Bros. has come clean about the forthcoming release of The Dark Knight Rises, as well as two separate collections of all three films. Let’s start with this past summer’s blockbuster, which will be released to Blu-ray, DVD, and digital download December 4 in a basic version at $35.99 suggested retail price, and a limited edition with collectible broken cowl packaging (click Full Story to see the pic) for $39.99. Bonus features will include a Batmobile documentary spotlighting all five vehicles, and Ending the Knight, a look at how Nolan finished off one of the highest grossing film trilogies of all time.
Meanwhile, 12/4/12 will also see the release of The Dark Knight Trilogy Limited Edition Giftset ($52.99), a package containing Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises, as well as an exclusive book. The Dark Knight Trilogy Ultimate Collector’s Edition, a set whose details are unknown at this point, is scheduled for a 2013 release.
