It’s a great week for trekkies and fans of the Game of Thrones series. First off, Star Trek: The Next Generation – Season One is now available on Blu-ray. This six disc set packs all episodes of the first season along with plenty of extras and deleted scenes. It’s also the first time TNG has been made available in HD. HBO’s Game of Thrones: The Complete First Season is now available on Blu-ray. The five disc set contains plenty of extras including character profile clips, audio commentaries, and  featurette “Creating the Dothraki language.” Other notable Blu-rays this week: The LA Kings NHL Stanley Cup Champions; The Island of Dr. Moreau (Unrated Director’s Cut); and Metropolitan (The Criterion Collection). Here’s a link to all all new Blu-ray releases available this week at Amazon.
