It’s been a long wait but this coming Tuesday Season One of Star Trek: The Next Generation will finally be released in completion on Blu-ray Disc. This is the first time TNG has been available in high-definition (although Paramount released a teaser BD last year that included a pilot and two episodes). The complete Season One of TNG has been digitally remastered and output to 1080p video resolution with 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. The TNG box set is loaded with extras including commentaries, special features and deleted scenes. Total run time for the six-disc box set is 1,184 minutes.
