Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception swashbuckles into stores today

The latest chapter in what has shaped up to be the PS3’s premier franchise is released today. Uncharted 3: Drake’s Reception ($59.99) is expected to deliver more Hollywood-style thrills and eye-popping production values, with fortune hunter Nathan Drake wisecracking his way through his thrilling adventures across the globe. Much like its predecessor, Uncharted 3 is winning over game critics of all stripes. Through its first 50 reviews, the game is averaging a wickedly good 94 Metacritic score. Destructoid’s Chad Concelmo raves “Uncharted 3 jumps from one extraordinary set piece to the next, pushing the way a videogame narrative can be presented. Equal parts exhilarating and emotional, I can’t say I have ever played a more perfectly paced game.” The game’s single player campaign is said to clock in at around 10 hours of action, with improved multiplayer and new co-op adventures rounding out the package of play.
