We expected a buyer for Hulu yesterday, with names like Google, Amazon, Yahoo, and other well-known brands mentioned as possible bidders. But Reuters is reporting today the bidding process has been extended through the end of the week, allowing potential buyers to dig deeper into Hulu’s finances. Hulu is hoping to fetch $2 billion for the company, which is jointly owned by News Corp, Walt Disney Co, Comcast Corp’s NBC and Providence Equity Partners.
There were rumors that South Korea mobile giant SK Telecom might purchase the service, but early today the company said they had no plans to bid on Hulu.
UPDATE: Yahoo, Google, Amazon and Dish are apparently bidding or interested in bidding today…
