Netflix and Open Road Films have signed a multi-year agreement which includes streaming of titles during what is traditionally the “pay TV window” after DVDs are released. The first film to stream under the deal will be “Killer Elite” starring Jason Statham, Robert DeNiro and Clive Owen. The film is set to release in theaters on Sept. 23, 2011. Another film, “The Host,” will be part of the streaming deal but that film is not slated for release until March, 2013. Other film titles will “be announced soon,” Netflix reps said in their MediaRoom.
