Sanyo announced they will ship a new 7000 lumens Full HD professional projector in October. The super-bright PLC-HP7000L produces 1920×1080 resolution with 10-bit video processing, and lasts about 10,000 hours without maintenance. Six optional lenses and 360 degree vertical lens setting allow the projector to be placed in a wide range of locations. Sanyo says the projector’s QuaDrive engine is superior to 3LCD systems by providing 20% wider color space. With an MSRP of $19,995 this projector won’t end up in most home theaters but we’ll sure be looking for one in action. The 7000 lumen brightness, by the way, is produced from just one bulb.
