Epson’s soon-to-released Home Cinema 740HD projector is an affordable solution for those looking to put in a home theater projector. While the 740HD only displays up to 720p (HD) resolution, it does have a 15,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio for rich details in dark areas, and 3,000 lumens of white and color brightness.
The 740HD utilizes 3LCD 3-chip technology for brighter and more vivid images, automatic vertical keystone (+/- 30 degrees), 1.2x optical zoom, and can display on surfaces up to 30-inches. The projector comes with built-in sound, and an HDMI port for connecting to various sources.
Epson boasts their projectors have 3x higher color brightness than competitors, and 25 percent lower power consumption.
“With features including portability, built-in sound, flexible setup and placement and high brightness, the Home Cinema 740HD is the ideal projector for families to bring the big-screen experience to the comfort of their home,” said Jason Palmer, marketing manager, Epson America.
The Home Cinema 740HD will carry an MSRP of $649 and start shipping in September, 2015.
