Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1 has hit the shelves in both DVD and Blu-ray disc formats. The first of the two-part finale to the Harry Potter franchise was directed by David Yates and stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson. The movie can be purchased in several editions including three disc Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy, single-disc Blu-ray, single-disc DVD, and single-disc DVD with Dobby Bookend (see photo below).
Special features on the Blu-ray three-disc/DVD combo include “Maximum Movie Mode,” “The seven Harrys,” “On the green with Rupert, Tom, Oliver, and James,” “Dan, Rupert, and Emma’s running competition,” “Behind the soundtrack,” and additional scenes. The single-disc edition only contains deleted scenes and featurette “Behind the soundtrack.”
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1 on Blu-ray Disc is formatted in 1080p MPEG-4 video at 2.40:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1. Other Blu-ray features include Bonus View (PiP) and BD-Live.
