Netflix now on Boxee Box!

If you own a Boxee Box by D-Link (or plan to purchase one), you’ll be pleased to know “The Box” now offers access to the Netflix library via a free App (although you need at least the streaming-only subscription). The Netflix library contains thousands of “Instant Watch” movies and TV shows — some of them in HD quality.

Just last month Boxee announced a firmware update which allows VUDU flicks to be streamed from the box. VUDU offers 1080p video quality with Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 surround for $5.99 per title. With the addition of support for VUDU, and now Netflix — how can you resist a Boxee Box?

Both Netflix and VUDU offer free trials: Netflix subscribers can try the service for free for a month (credit card required); VUDU offers a free movie download credit of $5.99 (enough for an HD title).

Boxee Box by D-Link | Now available from Amazon.com for $198 (Reg. $229.99).
