Crytek GmbH has announced a Jan. 25 launch of the Crysis 2 Multiplayer Demo exclusive for Xbox 360 and Xbox Live Gold Members. Crysis 2 takes players to a war-torn Manhattan where Nanosuits give players increased power, speed and invisibility.
Crysis 2 offers two game modes: “Team Instant Action” and “Crash Site.” In the “Team Instant Action” mode players simply try to destroy opponents to earn ranking. In “Crash Site,” players gain points by controlling alien drop pods.
Six gameplay modes and 12 maps set in New York City make up the demo space. Players can gain up to 50 multiplayer ranks an various weapon and Nanosuit enhancements..
“Crysis 2 offers a fresh, new take on multiplayer – one that will stand out and establish the game as a top contender in the first person shooter genre,” said Cevat Yerli, CEO of Crytek.
The full version of Crysis 2 will be available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on March 22, 2011 in North America.
