If you are a Cox Communications customer in New England you’ll now be able to subscribe to the Plus Package with Advanced TV for $5 a month. With the Plus Package you’ll get the new 500GB Whole Home DVR, the Trio Interactive Program Guide and new HD channels.
Features of the Whole Home DVR include Active Bookmarking (allowing you to start watching a show in one room and continuing in another room), scheduling from every TV in the house using the Trio program guide, recording in high-definition, and the ability to watch up to three programs simultaneously.
New HD channels available with the Cox Plus Package include the Cooking Channel, the HUB HD (channels 820-823), SWRV, DIY, and premium channels HBO, Showtime, and Starz.
In other Cox news, the company launched its own wireless phone network in select areas including Orange County, CA, Omaha, NE, and Hampton Roads, VA.
