2010 marked the first FIFA World Cup to be filmed in 3D. This week The Official 2010 FIFA World Cup Film on 3D Blu-ray Disc has hit shelves, presenting 64-minutes of highlights of the tournament which took place from June 11 to July 11, 2010. 32 teams competed for the World Cup, leading up to the final between Spain and the Netherlands which the Spanish claimed in extra time. The single-disc BD is formatted in 720p resolution at 1.78:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master 5.1 audio tracks. This is the official release from Sony and FIFA who produced 3D broadcasts of 25 of the 64 matches in South Africa. The disc carries an MSRP of $39.95.
