Blu-ray Deal Spotlight: The Godfather Giftset

Originally priced at $124.99, The Godfather – The Coppola Restoration Giftset on Blu-ray Disc has been reduced 64-percent down to $44.99. The 4-disc set contains deleted scenes, documentaries and featurettes, behind the scenes footage, commentaries and story boards.

Blu-ray Discs are presented in 1080p at 1.78:1 widescreen aspect ratio. Restoration experts worked frame-by-frame for over a year to bring the best quality from the original film materials. Audio is formatted in 24-bit TrueHD 5.1 and Dolby Digital 5.1. Total run time of the disc collection is 550 minutes.

Directed by Francis Ford Coppola, the films star Al Pacino, Diane Keaton, Andy Garcia, Marlon Brando, and Robert De Niro, James Caan, Robert Duvall — all delivering superb performances. The Godfather films won multiple Oscars and are regarded as some of the greatest films of all time.

The first two restored Godfather films on Blu-ray Disc have also been cut in price. The Godfather (Coppola Restoration) is now available for $15.99 (Reg. $29.99) and The Godfather Part II (Coppola Restoration) is now priced at $16.99 (Reg. $29.99). Why the second film is a buck more is a mystery but nevertheless a steal for one of the most celebrated films of all time.
