Cox subscribers who own a 3D TV will get a chance to see the first baseball games broadcast in three-dimension on July 10 and 11. The New York Yankees and the Seattle Mariners will play at Safeco Field in Seattle, where the Yanks will attempt to improve their 2 wins out of 7 record against the Mariners. (The Yankees just avoided a three-game sweep when they played on July 1 in New York.)
The upcoming games on Cox are provided by YES Network 3D for Cox customers and will be available in Manchester and Meriden, Connecticut on channel 784. (A tip for residents, you can go down to the local Best Buy and check out the 3D action on Sunday, July 11.)
“Cox is excited to offer our customers this unique viewing opportunity, and we also feel privileged to host anyone interested in checking out the 3D Yankees experience through our great partnership with Best Buy,” said Roger Sokolosky, vice president of sales, Cox New England.
DirecTV and Verizon will also be carrying the games in 3D, as they announced a couple months ago. Cablevision, Comcast, and Time Warner Cable are also going to be providing the games in 3D.
