Panasonic displays 2nd-gen portable Blu-ray players

panasonic-logo-300pxPanasonic was displaying its new portable Blu-ray players at CES 2010. The DMP-B500 is the higher-end model, with a 10.1 inch display and VIERA Link utilizing HDMI. In addition to being easy to carry along, this lil’ Blu-ray player can output 1080p to your HDTV.

The B500 also features VIERA CAST content which can access Netflix, Pandora, Twitter Fox Sports content, YouTube and Amazon Video on Demand.

The lower-end DMP-B100 may have a smaller 8.9 inch display but can be freely adjusted and easily mounted in your vehicle (see pic below).

Both players come with built-in WiFi, SD card slot, and Panasonic’s PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus technology for enhanced picture quality. For audio both players have Dolby Digital and DTS HD compatibility.

Unfortunately mums-the-word on any price points for either model. Here’s hoping they come in much lower than the DMP-B15 released last summer which listed for $799.
