cox_logo_137x137Cox Communications has improved their On Demand interface, allowing faster and easier navigation through their content library. They also added FreeZone, more Movies On DEMAND, and additional HD content.

Added HD VOD titles this month include “Terminator Salvation” (Dec. 1), “Up” (Dec. 10), “Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince” (Dec.15), “Star Trek” (Dec. 16) and “Night At the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian” (Dec. 18).

Interface enhancements include:

  • Horizontal scrolling provides quicker navigation through folders
  • ‘Skip’ functions allow the user to skip forward or backward in 15-minute intervals while fast-forwarding or rewinding
  • Movie previews are available directly from a folder’s main menu
  • Jump back 10 seconds with the new Instant Replay function

  1. What Cox needs to is improve their service. I dropped them two years ago due to it being so unreliable………FIOS could not have shown up at a better time.
