“Star Trek The Original Series: Season Two” is a 7-disc set which includes all 26 episodes from the original TV series. The episodes were digitally remastered and are presented in 1080p at 4:3 format, with audio options of DTS-HD Master 7.1 and Dolby Digital 2.0 Mono.
A feature of “Star Trek: The Original Series Season 2″ on Blu-ray allows you to seamlessly toggle between the digitally enhanced and original broadcast versions of the series.
From the original Star Trek film series, several titles have been released separately on Blu-ray Disc including “The Wrath of Khan” (1982), “The Voyage Home” (1986), and “The Undiscovered Country” (1991).
“Star Trek VIII: First Contact” (1996) stars the next generation crew, and is now available as a single title. It’s prequel, “Star Trek VII: Generations” (1994) hasn’t been given an individual release date. However, it is now available in the “Star Trek: The Next Generation Motion Picture Collection” which was released today.
“The Next Generation Motion Picture Collection” contains four films which start off with Kirk’s last time in action in “Generations.” The other 3 films in the collection are “First Contact,” “Insurrection,” and “Nemesis.”
