Fox Sports International said that Fox Soccer Channel (FSC) will have high definition programming by the end of this year, USSoccerPlayers.com reported today. “We understand that soccer looks great in HD. We recognize that now is the time to move on it,” said executive VP David Sternberg. Could soccer in HD increase viewership in the United States? I would bet on it. I can’t think of a sport that would benefit more from hi-def besides hockey. Let’s hope the HD programming from FSC comes more sooner than later.
