Liberty Sports Group announced it has launched all three of its regional sports networks in full-time high-definition. FSN Northwest, FSN Pittsburgh, FSN Rocky Mountain (and sub-region FSN Utah) will deliver over 900 sporting events per year, covering the Seattle Mariners, Pittsburgh Pirates, Colorado Rockies, Pittsburgh Penguins, Utah Jazz, Pac 10, Big 12, and Big East.
“We have moved in to an era where applying new technologies to our daily routines is no longer unique, it is essential; so local sports television can’t afford to be behind the curve in meeting the demands of our viewers,” said Mark Shuken, President and CEO of Liberty Sports Group.
The 24hr HD networks will now be offered to cable and satellite television providers in those regions.
Liberty Sports Group is made up of three regional sports networks, including FSN Northwest, FSN Pittsburgh and FSN Rocky Mountain. The networks together reach more than 8.5 million viewers across 17 states.
