Cable television provider Time Warner Cable has hit 100 HD channels in their New York City market areas. The company now offers 65 HD channels in its standard high-definition package, and 35 HD channels in its premium HD lineup.
“We reached a milestone by offering 100 HD channels in New York City, and we anticipate continuing to deliver an enhanced HDTV experience to our customers,” said Howard Szarfarc, executive vice president of Time Warner Cable New York metro region.
In other recent TWC news the company is now implementing a download cap for internet usage. Subscribers will be allowed a certain amount of bandwidth but if they go over they will be charged. Hopefully customers will be able to view their bandwidth status easily to avoid overage. The company is also looking at offering higher caps than the tested 40GB limit.
