Cablevision adds Comedy Central HD

Cablevision announced the addition of Comedy Central HD today to their lineup. The company now offers 69 HD channels at no additional charge with their iO TV service. As well as the 69 high-definition channels, the company offers HD VOD titles at $4.95. That’s a dollar cheaper than most competitors.

Some of the shows on Comedy Central include The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, The Colbert Report, South Park and The Sarah Silverman Program. The HD channel will be available over the next three days on channel 768.

“Comedy Central HD is a great addition to the iO TV high-definition lineup, and we are pleased to continue to enhance our truly-free HD experience through the launch of this popular channel in this superior format,” said John Trierweiler, Cablevision’s senior vice president of product management.
