Dish expands local HD channels in Texas

Dish Network announced yesterday the company would be expanding its local HD (high-definition) market in Texas, adding local HD channels in Beaumont – Port Arthur. The satellite TV provider now offers local HD channels in 66 markets.

Dish recently successfully launched a satellite which will give the company the opportunity to reach its end of year goal of reaching 100 local HD markets, as well as surpass the 100 HD channel goal in a couple weeks on August 1st.
