WinDVD 9 Plus Blu-ray uses “Trimension” All2HD up-scaling which converts standard-definition DVDs to approximate high-definition video. It also features a “De-snow” filter which removes digital noise from MPEG, H.264 and VC-1 low-resolution video.
The Blu-ray Disc support (1080p) allows pop-up menus and picture-in-picture features with full BD-J support. Audio formats include: Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD. WinDVD 9 Plus Blu-ray also includes support for NVIDIA PureVideo HD and ATI Avivo HD hardware acceleration.
WinDVD 9 Plus Blu-ray retails for $99.99. WinDVD 9 Plus (without Blu-ray support) retails for $79.99.
