“Star Wars” in HD to debut on Spike TV

spike tvSpike TV will host the broadcast premiere of “Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith” and cable premieres of “Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace” and “Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones.” next month in high definition (HD). The network will also be showing the six-part “Star Wars” series in its entirety, in HD, along with encore presentations.

The broadcasts will begin on April 4th at 8:00 PM with “Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace” and end on April 13th with “Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi”. Spike TV, which will be the exclusive network for the “Star Wars” series, will also broadcast footage from LucasFilms that has never been seen before on basic cable.

Premieres Saturday, April 5 (8:00 – 11:00 PM, ET/PT);

& Sunday, April 27 (8:00 – 11:00 PM, ET/PT & 11:00 PM,
