Virgin Megastore (all U.S. locations) will be selling off their remaining HD DVD stock starting March 4th through the end of April or when the stock runs out. This information comes from a website posting by a Virgin store manager.
Virgin will follow the lead of other retailers like Amazon who are also offering deep discounts on HD DVDs. The Xbox 360 HD DVD player add-on is also marked down at Virgin to $49.99. The add-on player, which sold only an estimated 300,00 units, usually comes with a free “King Kong” HD DVD.
