Bioware delays Mass Effect 3

Say it isn’t so! But we weren’t holding our breath were we? Bioware says Mass Effect 3 will be delayed until the first few months of 2012. According to executive producer Casey Hudson, “The development team is laser focused on making sure Mass Effect 3 is the biggest, boldest and best game in the series…”

The announcement is a disappointment, but we’re glad the guys at Bioware have the gamer’s best interest in mind — that is — making the best game possible and as Hudson puts it, “ensuring that it exceeds everyone’s expectations.”

It’s worth noting that Mass Effect 2 was released for PS3 in January of this year, which would put Mass Effect 3 at just about a year after. What’s also worth noting is Bioware says ME3 will be available for all three platforms: Xbox 360, Wii, and PlayStation 3. Although, they didn’t indicate whether they would be released simultaneously.
