Disney’s The Lion King (2019) will release to digital formats on Oct. 11 followed by Blu-ray, 4k Blu-ray, and DVD on Oct. 22. The Jon Favreau-directed film stars Donald Glover, Beyoncé, Seth Rogen and James Earl Jones among an incredible cast providing voiceover acting. The movie premiered last July and has since earned over $1.6B at the worldwide box office.
The Lion King will arrive in both Blu-ray “Multi-Screen” and 4k Ultra HD Blu-ray “Ultimate Collector’s” combo editions from Disney/Buena Vista. Each edition includes a second disc as well as a code to redeem a Digital Copy with Movies Anywhere.
Bonus features with The Lion King on Blu-ray include three “More To Be Scene” featurettes, two music videos, audio commentary, eight song selections, “The Journey To The Lion King” featurettes and more.
