We’ve been waiting for this! Disney’s Doctor Strange will arrive on 4k Ultra HD Blu-ray in a Cinematic Universe Edition on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2019. That’s the same day as Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) and Ant-Man (2015) also from Disney, as well as other 4k titles including Gremlins (1984), Pan’s Labyrinth (2006), The Shining (1980), and Zombieland (2009).
On UHD BD, Doctor Strange is presented in 2160p resolution at 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 for expanded color range. And, the English soundtrack has been updated to immersive Dolby Atmos with 2.0 Descriptive Audio. French and Spanish tracks are available in 7.1 Dolby Digital Plus.
The new Ultra HD 2-disc edition includes a copy of the film on Blu-ray disc as well as Digital UHD via Movies Anywhere.
Previously-released bonus features on the Blu-ray Disc include A Strange Transformation, Strange Company, The Fabric of Reality, Across Time and Space, The Score-cerer Supreme, Team Thor: Part 2, audio commentary with Scott Derrickson, deleted scenes and gag reel.
