HBO has put together a Complete Collection of all eight Game of Thrones seasons in a 33-disc boxed set. The newly-revealed packaging has been designed with each season having its own insert plus one for extras in a multi-layered look that peers through to the Iron Throne.
On the back of the box are the words “When You Play the Game of Thrones You Win or Die.” And, there’s a replica of the pin worn by “The Hand of the King” that serves to lock the boxed set together.
This is a beautifully-packaged collector’s set on Blu-ray that presents the episodes in 1080p at 16:9 (1.78:1) widescreen aspect ratio. We’re hoping each season is offered with audio upgraded to Dolby Atmos rather than just DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 but we’re still waiting on confirmation of this. So far this is a Blu-ray only edition and not Ultra HD Blu-ray.
