Sony has revealed the release date and list price for their UBP-X800M2 4k Blu-ray Disc player. The player, announced at CES this year, supports both HDR10 and Dolby Vision formats found on Ultra HD Blu-ray Discs, making it highly desirable for home theater buffs with discs that support either of the two.
The X800M2 is also moderately priced at $299.99 MSRP — a more affordable option than the now-discontinued Oppo players and high-end decks like the $1k Pioneer UDP-LX500.
The player supports Blu-ray, 4k Blu-ray, and 3D Blu-ray Discs, and includes two HDMI outputs (video/audio, audio), digital out, and ethernet ports.
Sony also officially announced the HT-S350 2.1ch Soundbar with wireless subwoofer, 320W1 total output, and HDMI ARC one-cable connection. The S350 will ship at the end of April for $279.99 MSRP.
