Sandra Bullock may not have imagined her blindfolded self would be the center of so much attention on social media, but the success of Bird Box may have something to do with her partnering with Netflix to produce another film.
The short-lived comic book Reborn published by Image Comics has been picked up for a movie adaptation. The story, written by Mark Millar and Greg Capullo, is centered on an older woman who finds herself reborn as a young warrior in a fantasy-like afterlife where she searches for her lost husband.
Bullock will join Roy Lee and Miri Yoon under Vertigo Entertainment to produce the film. Reborn writers Millar and Capullo will act as executive producers, along with Samantha Nisenboim as co-producer.
The film will be directed by Chris McKay (The Lego Batman Movie, Robot Chicken), but as of yet no cast members have been announced.
