Universal Pictures’s Halloween starring Jamie Lee Curtis releases Tuesday, Jan. 15 on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc. The David Gordon Green-directed film takes place 40 years after the original Halloween (1978), when Laurie Strode faces the man who has haunted her for decades.

Halloween on 4k Ultra HD Blu-ray features 2160p resolution with HDR10 High Dynamic Range, while the Blu-ray resolution is traditional 1080p. Widescreen aspect ratio is 2.39:1. Both Blu-ray formats also provide the soundtrack in DTS:X Immersive Audio.
Extras
Each Blu-ray combo edition of Halloween includes an extra disc (2-discs total) along with a digital copy. Bonus features include deleted and extended scenes as well as special featurettes showing behind the scenes looks at creating the film.
Synopsis
Forty years after the events of 1978’s Halloween, Laurie Strode now lives in a heavily guarded home on the edge of Haddonfield, where she’s spent decades preparing for Michael’s potential return. After being locked up in an institution, Myers manages to escape when a bus transfer goes terribly wrong, leading to chaos in the same town he preyed on decades earlier. Laurie now faces a terrifying showdown when the deranged killer returns for her and her family – but this time, she’s ready for him.
