The Dodgers clinched their World Series appearance last Saturday in Game 7 of the NLCS finals against the Brewers. Now, they’ll head to Fenway Park to face the Boston Red Sox who took the ALCS finals in 5 games against Houston. The MLB World Series will be broadcast by FOX starting Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 8:09 p.m. Eastern Time. Are you ready to watch? Here’s a schedule, channel info, and how to watch the 2018 MLB World Series.
How to Watch the 2018 MLB World Series
Traditional TV
As mentioned above FOX will be hosting the entire 2018 World Series on their flagship channel. FOX is available through cable and satellite TV service providers, or over-the-air (OTA) using an antenna. FOX is a local channel so be sure to tune-in to the HD broadcast of the games whether cable, satellite or OTA. (Here’s a list of FOX HD channels.) Also Read: How to Get HD Channels Without TV Service
Live Streaming TV
The 2018 World Series is also available through a live TV streaming service such as Hulu Live TV, DirecTV Now, Sling TV, fuboTV, Playstation Vue, and YouTube TV who is sponsoring the 2018 World Series. Of course, you’ll need a subscription to the service and sufficient internet connection to stream the games without interruption. The services mentioned above are accessible on various devices including laptops and desktops, streaming media players like Apple TV, Fire TV, and Roku, Xbox and PlayStation, and mobile devices including tablets and phones.
On PCs
Using a browser like Chrome, Firefox or Safari you can visit the Fox Sports GO website on your desktop, laptop, or tablet browser to watch the World Series. You will likely need to sign in with the email and password used with your TV service provider to view the games. Fox Sports GO will be streaming all 7 games (if necessary) of the 2018 World Series.
On Mobile Devices
The World Series can be streamed on Android and iOS mobile devices wherever you are (depending on internet connection) using the Fox Sports app or live TV streaming app (from one of services mentioned above). You will just need to authenticate the feed with the email and password used with your TV service provider. You can also stream from the Fox Sports GO website as mentioned above, but the apps are optimized for viewing on smaller screens.
MLB.TV subscribers are apparently also required to authenticate with a TV service provider before watching the World Series.
