Sure, Netflix has an abundance of movies and original productions, but they don’t have everything. There are quite a few legitimate movie websites and app channels that stream movies for free with ads. Walmart’s Vudu is one of them.
Every month Vudu gets a bunch of new titles you can watch with limited commercial breaks (by limited we mean there are less ads than on traditional TV networks). Right now the website lists about 175 movies that Netflix doesn’t currently offer. Most titles stream in 1080p with Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. Here are some highlights.
In the drama category Oscar-winning film Jerry Maguire (1996) starring Tom Cruise, 3-time Oscar winner The Pianist (2002) from director Roman Polanski, 3-time Oscar winner Rocky (1976) starring Sylvester Stallone, and Francis Ford Coppola’s 2-time Oscar winner Apocalypse Now (1979) are all free to watch.
In the action category you can stream Batman (1989) and Batman Returns (1992) starring starring Michael Keaton, Walking Tall (2004) starring Dwayne Johnson, and The Last Boy Scout (1991) starring Bruce Willis.
And, in comedy check out Zookeeper (2011), I Spy (2002), Booty Call (1997) and Little Big League (1994) all streaming free on PCs and internet connected devices with the Vudu app.
