Dish has announced they will soon be providing personalized access to Netflix through its EVOLVE service for the hotel industry. The platform will allow guests to use streaming apps, watch live TV, and cast from mobile devices through their own personal accounts.
What’s more, the EVOLVE platform will deliver 4k content on 4k TVs. Of course, guests who attempt to access Netflix and Ultra HD content on Netflix will have to be subscribed to the top-tier Netflix plan.
Guests who don’t have a Netflix account will be able to sign up for one through the interface.
Dish didn’t mention whether or not the EVOLVE platform will support HDR specifications, but in reality there are probably very few hotels that have HDR TVs in their suites, never mind 4k TVs.
“Integrating Netflix on EVOLVE is a win-win for hotel operators and guests alike,” said Alistair Chatwin, vice president of DISH Business.
The Dish EVOLVE platform is powered by the SMARTBOX whole-property with up to 94 HD channel capacity.
