Every month there are a bunch of new Netflix titles added to their streaming library, with almost 100 arriving in May alone. But not all programs are offered in Ultra HD, and even less with HDR.
New titles in 4k with HDR include the original comedy “The Week Of” starring Adam Sandler and Chris Rock and the 10-episode series “Lost In Space” that brings a fresh look to the original TV show that ran in the late 60’s.
In Ultra HD only there are premiere seasons of the fantasy series “The New Legends of Monkey,” the reality TV show “Fastest Car,” Season 2 of the Brazilian sci-fi series “3%” with English subtitles, and the Danish series “The Rain” with English subtitles, among others listed below.
In case your new to the terminology, Ultra HD is usually referred to as 4k or sometimes UHD. The resolution of Ultra HD video is 2160p which is actually 4-times as sharp Blu-ray discs which display 1080p resolution. HDR (High Dynamic Range) is an additional improvement that increases the amount of color depth (which some say is hard to calibrate) but is only available on certain 4k TVs.
Here’s a list of the newest 4k and 4k/HDR titles that have been added to Netflix since our last review. All titles stream or download with Dolby 5.1 audio unless noted.
