ABC’s drama “The Sinner” from creator Derek Simonds has been greenlit for second season, but whether or not Jessica Biel will return is still unknown.

Biel will, however, serve as an executive producer for the show along with Simonds, Charlie Gogolak and Brad Winters.

Bill Pullman has been cast to return as Detective Ambrose in the second season where he will investigate the murder of two people by their 11-year-old son.

“The Sinner was a huge success for USA Network,” said Chris McCumber, president, entertainment networks for USA parent NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment. “In our second season, we’ll follow Detective Ambrose as he tracks his newest ‘why-dunnit,’ while staying true to the unique, edge-of-your-seat storytelling that captivated audiences and critics alike.”

In all  eight episodes of Season 1, Jessica Biel starred as Cora Tannetti along with Christopher Abbott as Mason Tannetti, Dohn Norwood as Dan Leroy, and Abby Miller as Caitlin Sullivan.
