Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, and although the video is almost two-minutes long the studio refers to the premiere as just a “teaser trailer.” So, we guess that’s just what it is.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is a sequel that many of us still crazy over Harry Potter have been looking forward to. The first installment, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, wasn’t exactly like the films from the Harry Potter franchise but rather had its own unique pace and style set by director David Yates.
In ‘The Crimes of Grindelwald’, Eddie Redmayne returns as Newt Scamander along with Ezra Miller and Katherine Waterston. But what may worry some is the addition of blockbuster actor Johnny Depp who hopefully will not overshadow Redmayne who clearly stole the stage in ‘Where to Find Them.’
Jude Law and musician/actor Zoë Kravitz are also newcomers to the sequel and play the roles of Albus Dumbledore and Leta Lestrange, respectively. Writer/Creator J.K. Rowling wrote the screenplay for the film.
Oh, and by the way sequels to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them have been booked every two years through 2024 — so there must be many more stories to tell!
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is set to release in the United States on November 16, 2018.
