If you’ve been on the cusp of jumping into 4k but just haven’t been motivated by the high prices of Ultra HD TVs, the reality is entry level sets are not much more than what you would pay for Full HD.
Best Buy is looking to persuade late adopters of the technology to upgrade to 4k TV for as low as $279. The company has discounted a bunch of models to sell, with up to $500 off select sizes and brands.
The 4k TV discounted to $279 (normally priced $399) is a 43” Insignia (Best Buy brand) 2160p LED Smart 4k TV. A step up in terms of size would be a 55” TCL Roku TV offered for $369 (regular $449) with LED display technology and Smart TV functionality via the Roku platform..
For a little better image quality, while sacrificing some size, Best Buy has a 50” Samsung LED Smart 4k TV for $429 (list $699) which amounts to a $270 savings. And, they’ve also got a 55” LG LED Smart 4k TV for $469 (list $699) representing a discount of $230.
Each of the sets mentioned above are 4k Ultra HD (UHD) quality, meaning, video is presented in 2160p at it’s highest resolution. The models above, however, don’t feature HDR (High Dynamic Range) color support. For HDR plan on spending quite a bit more to pick up a set from Samsung, Sony, LG, or Vizio.

We’re not sure how long the sale on these particular 4k TVs will last so you might want to check it out soon at BestBuy.com.
