Want to know what’s available to watch on DirecTV in Ultra HD? How about an NBA game tonight featuring the Minnesota Timberwolves against the Sacramento Kings? Or, an English Premiere League soccer match between Tottenham and Manchester United? Those programs are coming up, but there are stipulations.
DirecTV has three channels on which you can view programs in 4k Ultra HD resolution, and subscribers will need to have 4k compatible equipment, the SELECT programming package or higher, and an authorized account that was installed by a DirecTV professional in order to view 4k content. Additionally, content that includes HDR color specifications will only be viewable on supporting HDR 4k TVs.
The company was the first to offer HDR in a live broadcast last December with the NHL matchup between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Vegas Golden Knights.
As well as one-time events and games, DirecTV has new weekly programs in 4k Ultra HD such as BBC’s “Blue Planet II” (new episodes every Saturday on Channel 104 at 9 p.m. ET) and Bad Ass Media’s “Drone Wars” (every Thursday on Channel 104).

Why should you charge extra for so little content and few channels available with 4K content?
It seems that Direct TV would publish the schedule for the Saturday concert schedule. It would be helpful.
