Are you looking forward to 2018 and the new 4k Blu-ray releases coming our way? Here’s an overview of all the titles that we know of arriving on Ultra HD Blu-ray this month.
The first new 4k disc release is Universal Picture’s American Made ($37.99) starring Tom Cruise. The film comes to both Blu-ray and 4k Blu-ray on Tuesday, Jan. 2, with extra bonus material and digital copies provided in each BD combo edition.
On Jan. 9 the rock musical Across the Universe ($30.99) has been remastered to 4k by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment for release on 4k Ultra HD Blu-ray, as well as the new-to-home media movie It arriving to both Blu-ray and 4k Blu-ray, including a Best Buy exclusive Steelbook edition ($34.99).
We can hardly wait for Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner 2049 to hit stores on Blu-ray ($35.99) and 4k Blu-ray ($44.95). The movie has already been released to digital formats, but the combo disc editions arrive on Tuesday, Jan. 16 along with a Best Buy Steelbook edition ($34.99).
On Jan. 23 a bunch of titles will be available on Ultra HD Blu-ray including Cloverfield ($31.99), 10 Cloverfield Lane ($31.99), Jigsaw ($42.99), Earth: One Amazing Day ($29.99), and Groundhog Day ($53.60), all of which are re-releases to 4k with the exception of Jigsaw which was a 2017 film.
