HBO’s documentary mini-series The Defiant Ones about the lives of and relationship between Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine is getting released to Blu-ray, DVD and Digital.
The four-part series on Blu-ray and DVD from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment will hit stores on Blu-ray November 28th, 2017, preceded by Digital formats about a week earlier on November 20th.
The series, directed by Allen Hughes (Dead Presidents), includes interviews with music icons such as Snoop Dogg, Bruce Springsteen, Gwen Stefani, Bono, Eminem, Nas, Ice Cube, will.i.am, and Lady Gaga, just to name a few.
There’s also never-before-seen footage from recording and writing sessions with musicians like Eazy-E, Stevie Nicks, N.W.A. and The D.O.C., among others.
On Blu-ray, The Defiant Ones is presented in 1.78:1 widescreen aspect ratio and 1080p resolution, with a soundtrack in DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1.
Disc 1 has a total run time of two hours, while Disc 2 runs two hours and twenty minutes.
