The incentives from telecoms just keep coming. AT&T is going to offer free HBO to Unlimited Choice customers starting on Sept. 15th.
This expands the free premium channel promotion that was launched back in April for customers with the AT&T Unlimited Plus plan.
It’s interesting AT&T expanded their plan after the season of Games of Thrones ended. Maybe they were expecting to reign-in more customers switching to their service or upgrading to the Unlimited Plus plan.
With either plan, customers can watch HBO on mobile devices through the HBO Go or DirecTV Now apps, or though traditional cable boxes.
The Unlimited Choice plan starts at $60 per month and allows streaming video at up to 480p resolution (data speeds at max are 3Mbps).
Like AT&T’s other unlimited data plans, when customers reach 22GB there’s a chance the service could be slowed in congested areas.
T-Mobile just launched a similar promotion offering free Netflix to customers with family One plans.
