There were so many reveals at Comic-Con San Diego it’s hard to keep track, especially emerging content in the traditional television and streaming markets. One of the most anticipated series return, and what’s becoming somewhat of a flagship series for Netflix, is the fantasy drama Stranger Things.
There have been some teasers for the second season of Stranger Things, including a Super Bowl spot and announcement of Season 2 on October 27th, but everyone who loves and heard about the show has been anxiously-awaiting the new trailer.
The new trailer doesn’t seem to depart much from the proven formula of Season 1, with a look and feel from the 80’s mixed with instances of the paranormal. The trailer even takes us back to 1982 and Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” video (now part of the National Film Preservation Board’s National Film Registry), over which horror film legend Vincent Price gave his infamous narration.
From Netflix:
The first trailer for Stranger Things 2 is here. It’s 1984 and the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana are still reeling from the horrors of the demogorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived.
Stranger Things was created by Matt and Ross Duffer and stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo and Caleb McLaughlin.
