Sing & Assassin’s Creed Among New Blu-ray Releases This Week

new-blu-ray-mar-21-2017-900x600This week we expect Universal Studio’s animated hit Sing to lead sales of new Blu-ray and DVD releases. The film will be available in three standard combo editions including Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D, and 4k Ultra HD Blu-ray, that also come with a Digital HD copy redeemable through iTunes or UltraViolet. The editions also include plenty of bonus features such as music videos, making-of featurettes, and three mini-movies.

20th Century Fox’s Assassin’s Creed is also hitting stores on Blu-ray, 3D Blu-ray, and 4k Ultra HD Blu-ray. Video on the Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D discs is formatted in 1080p, while the 4k Ultra HD Blu-ray edition brings 4x the resolution at 2160p with HDR color enhancements. Audio on all Blu-ray editions is formatted in immersive Dolby Atmos backed by Dolby TrueHD 7.1 and Dolby Digital 5.1.

Ben Affleck’s Prohibition-era gangster film Live by Night is also releasing to Blu-ray and DVD. On disc, the movie is available in a 1-disc Blu-ray combo with Digital HD copy, as well as standard-definition DVD. Bonus features on the Blu-ray include deleted scenes, director commentary, and other featurettes. Affleck, who also co-wrote the screenplay, stars with Elle Fanning, Sienna Miller, Zoe Saldana and Brendan Gleeson.
