Sling TV has announced they will launch NBC Regional Sports Networks in several markets before the start of the 2017 MLB season. The networks will also bring coverage of local NBA and NHL games going into the first round of playoffs.
The local sports networks, available to Sling Blue customers at no extra charge who live in those markets, include CSN California, CSN Bay Area, CSN Chicago and CSN Mid-Atlantic.
Opening Day of Major League Baseball’s 2017 season is on Sunday, April 2nd. The games start at 1:10 PM ET with the New York Yankees playing the Tampa Bay Rays. Then, the San Francisco Giants face the Arizona D-backs at 4:10 PM, followed by the World Series Champions Cubs playing the St. Louis Cardinals at 8:35 PM ET.
Sling Blue customers also get local access to sports programming on FOX Sports Cincinnati, FOX Sports Detroit, FOX Sports North, FOX Sports Prime Ticket, FOX Sports San Diego, FOX Sports Southeast, FOX Sports Southwest, FOX Sports Sun, SportsTime Ohio and YES Network.
