Universal Studio’s hit animated film Sing will release to Blu-ray Disc, 4k Ultra HD Blu-ray, and DVD on March 21, 2017. The movie will likely be released a couple weeks earlier on Digital HD, however we don’t have a confirmed date yet. [Update: Released two weeks early to digital.]
On Blu-ray, Sing is presented in traditional 1080p stored on a BD-50, while the 4k edition features 2160p video on a BD-66. The Ultra HD Blu-ray edition also includes image enhancements with HDR. And, each Blu-ray edition features quite a bit of bonus materials. [See special features below.]
All three Blu-ray editions of Sing will include Digital HD copies via UltraViolet and iTunes. Best Buy is also planning an exclusive Steelbook edition.
Sing was released to theaters nationwide last December and stars Matthew McConaughey and Reese Witherspoon as ambitious singers Buster Moon and Rosita, respectively. Seth MacFarlane, Scarlett Johansson, and Jennifer Hudson are among the many actors who also provide voiceovers for the film.
Pre-orders of Sing are selling for $19.99 (Blu-ray), $29.99 (3D Blu-ray), and $25.99 (Ultra HD Blu-ray) on Amazon. (Scroll down for current pricing.)
