The DC Comics/Warner Bros. blockbuster Suicide Squad has been released to digital formats one week earlier than Blu-ray Disc and On Demand, and what’s more the digital edition can include both the theatrical and new extended cut of the film.
The movie can be purchased (not rented at this point) in Digital HD ($19.99) or in 4k UHD ($29.99) from Vudu. (See a price breakdown below.)
Looking to save a few bucks? Apple seems to be the only service that is selling the SD version for less than the HD at $14.99, although Verizon is selling the SD version for $16.49 (without the extended cut).
However, the cheapest way to buy Suicide Squad in Digital HD might be utilizing Google Play’s 50% off promotion going on right now. With the discount, you can get Suicide Squad Digital HD for $9.99.
Bonus features included with some services include Joker & Harley: “It” Couple Of The Underworld, Task Force X: One Team, One Mission, This Is Gonna Get Loud: The Epic Battles Of Suicide Squad, Armed To The Teeth, Squad Strength & Skills, Chasing The Real, The Squad Declassified, and a gag reel.
Suicide Squad will release to Blu-ray, 3D, and 4k Ultra HD, as well as several retailer exclusive editions, on Dec. 13.
